In 2016 Russia public debt was 181,426 million euros 200,820 million dollars, has decreased 19,890 22,540 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 15.67% of Russia GDP, a 0.66 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 16.33% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Russia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 82,819 million euros 103,987 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 9.78%.
According to the last data point published, Russia per capita debt in 2016 was 1,260 euros1,395 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 1,374 euros 1,524 dollars, afterwards dropping by 114 euros 129dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 582 euros731 dollars .
The position of Russia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 11 in the list of debt to GDP and 71 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
