In 2016 Russia public debt was 181,426 million euros 200,820 million dollars, has decreased 14,831 16,928 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 15.65% of Russia GDP, a 0.29 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 15.94% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Russia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 82,815 million euros 103,983 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 9.78%.
According to the last data point published, Russia per capita debt in 2016 was 1,265 euros1,400 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 1,339 euros 1,486 dollars, afterwards dropping by 74 euros 86dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 582 euros731 dollars .
The position of Russia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 9 in the list of debt to GDP and 70 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
