In 2017 Russia public debt was 216,968 million euros 245,109 million dollars, has increased 30,62738,848 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 15.52% of Russia GDP, a 0.56 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 16.08% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Russia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 81,612 million euros 111,850 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 8.04%.
According to the last data point published, Russia per capita debt in 2017 was 1,507 euros1,702 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,294 euros 1,433 dollars, afterwards rising by 213 euros269 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 575 euros788 dollars .
The position of Russia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 8 in the list of debt to GDP and 74 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
