In 2016 Rwanda public debt was 2,521 million euros 2,790 million dollars, has increased 301327 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 32.91% of Rwanda GDP, a 3.22 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 29.69% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Rwanda debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 594 million euros 746 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 23.7%.
According to the last data point published, Rwanda per capita debt in 2016 was 212 euros234 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 191 euros 212 dollars, afterwards rising by 21 euros22 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 66 euros83 dollars .
The position of Rwanda, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 38 in the list of debt to GDP and 13 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
