In 2020 Montenegro public debt was 4,493 million euros5,127 million dollars, has increased 592760 million since 2019.
This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 107.35% of Montenegro GDP, a 28.56 percentage point rise from 2019, when it was 78.79% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Montenegro debt. It has risen since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 1,407 million euros 1,867 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 45.01%.
According to the last data point published, Montenegro per capita debt in 2020 was 7,238 euros8,260 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 6,273 euros 7,023 dollars, afterwards rising by 965 euros1,237 dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,270 euros3,012 dollars .
