In 2019 Honduras public debt was 9,325 million euros10,440 million dollars, has increased 1,249902 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 41.9% of Honduras GDP, a 1.9 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 40% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Honduras debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 2,441 million euros 3,405 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 23.48%.
According to the last data point published, Honduras per capita debt in 2019 was 954 euros1,069 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 841 euros 993 dollars, afterwards rising by 113 euros76 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 300 euros418 dollars .
The position of Honduras, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 65 in the list of debt to GDP and 53 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
