In 2018 Honduras public debt was 8,091 million euros 9,555 million dollars, has increased 65488 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 40.16% of Honduras GDP, a 0.92 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 39.24% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Honduras debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 2,093 million euros 3,079 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 22.32%.
According to the last data point published, Honduras per capita debt in 2018 was 844 euros997 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 866 euros 978 dollars, afterwards dropping by 22 euros 19dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 266 euros391 dollars .
The position of Honduras, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 65 in the list of debt to GDP and 54 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
