In 2016 Honduras public debt was 8,066 million euros 8,929 million dollars, has increased 9881,076 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 41.24% of Honduras GDP, a 3.81 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 37.43% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Honduras debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 3,385 million euros 4,250 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 39.2%.
According to the last data point published, Honduras per capita debt in 2016 was 885 euros980 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 790 euros 876 dollars, afterwards rising by 95 euros104 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 449 euros564 dollars .
The position of Honduras, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 70 in the list of debt to GDP and 57 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
