In 2018 Guyana public debt was 1,747 million euros 2,063 million dollars, has increased 107211 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 52.94% of Guyana GDP, a 1.59 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 51.35% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Guyana debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 818 million euros 1,203 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 62.54%.
According to the last data point published, Guyana per capita debt in 2018 was 2,243 euros2,649 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 2,108 euros 2,381 dollars, afterwards rising by 135 euros268 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,093 euros1,608 dollars .
The position of Guyana, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 101 in the list of debt to GDP and 95 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
