National debt fell in Germany

In 2019 Germany public debt was 2,069,889 million euros2,290,411 million dollars, has decreased 13,786146,565 million since 2018.

This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 59.6% of Germany GDP, a 2.3 percentage point fall from 2018, when it was 61.9% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Germany debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 1,789,213 million euros 2,492,853 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 73.2%.

According to the last data point published, Germany per capita debt in 2019 was 24,888 euros27,540 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 25,099 euros 29,354 dollars, afterwards dropping by 211 euros 1,814dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 21,872 euros30,474 dollars .

The position of Germany, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 124 in the list of debt to GDP and 174 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
