In 2019 Georgia public debt was 6,312 million euros7,066 million dollars, has increased 727470 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 40.44% of Georgia GDP, a 2.94 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 37.5% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Georgia debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 2,673 million euros 3,729 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 33.65%.
According to the last data point published, Georgia per capita debt in 2019 was 1,698 euros1,901 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 1,500 euros 1,772 dollars, afterwards rising by 198 euros129 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 603 euros840 dollars .
The position of Georgia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 55 in the list of debt to GDP and 79 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
