In 2017 Gabon public debt was 8,279 million euros 9,912 million dollars, has increased 145560 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 58.19% of Gabon GDP, a 4.45 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 62.64% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Gabon debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 3,566 million euros 3,123 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 20.05%.
According to the last data point published, Gabon per capita debt in 2018 was 3,957 euros4,677 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 4,009 euros 4,529 dollars, afterwards dropping by 52 euros 148dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,398 euros2,056 dollars .
The position of Gabon, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 112 in the list of debt to GDP and 118 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
