In 2017 Gabon public debt was 8,279 million euros 9,912 million dollars, has increased 145560 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 58.19% of Gabon GDP, a 4.45 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 62.64% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Gabon debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 3,566 million euros 3,123 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 20.05%.
According to the last data point published, Gabon per capita debt in 2017 was 4,088 euros4,895 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 4,108 euros 4,618 dollars, afterwards dropping by 20 euros 277dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,395 euros2,032 dollars .
The position of Gabon, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 112 in the list of debt to GDP and 118 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
