In 2017 Dominica public debt was 364 million euros 411 million dollars, has decreased 5 3 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 78.55% of Dominica GDP, a 6.53 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 72.02% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Dominica debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 230 million euros 315 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 71.77%.
According to the last data point published, Dominica per capita debt in 2017 was 5,096 euros5,756 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 5,173 euros 5,726 dollars, afterwards dropping by 77 euros 30dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,239 euros4,439 dollars .
The position of Dominica, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 155 in the list of debt to GDP and 128 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
