In 2018 Dominica public debt was 353 million euros 417 million dollars, has decreased 1 17 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 74.09% of Dominica GDP, a 1.42 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 75.51% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Dominica debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 207 million euros 305 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 64.36%.
According to the last data point published, Dominica per capita debt in 2018 was 4,929 euros5,822 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 4,950 euros 5,593 dollars, afterwards dropping by 21 euros 229dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,918 euros4,292 dollars .
The position of Dominica, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 147 in the list of debt to GDP and 125 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
