In 2016 Dominica public debt was 390 million euros 432 million dollars, has increased 21 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 72.66% of Dominica GDP, a 4.51 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 77.17% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Dominica debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 250 million euros 314 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 77.36%.
According to the last data point published, Dominica per capita debt in 2016 was 5,302 euros5,869 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 5,304 euros 5,885 dollars, afterwards dropping by 2 euros 16dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,520 euros4,419 dollars .
The position of Dominica, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 143 in the list of debt to GDP and 131 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
