In 2017 Djibouti public debt was 1,240 million euros 1,474 million dollars, has increased 8774 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 67.38% of Djibouti GDP, a 1.61 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 68.99% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Djibouti debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 351 million euros 583 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 59.31%.
According to the last data point published, Djibouti per capita debt in 2018 was 1,301 euros1,537 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 1,313 euros 1,483 dollars, afterwards dropping by 12 euros 54dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 498 euros733 dollars .
The position of Djibouti, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 136 in the list of debt to GDP and 70 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
