In 2018 Denmark public debt was 101,434 million euros 119,794 million dollars, has decreased 2,377 2,519 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 34.1% of Denmark GDP, a 1.4 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 35.5% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Denmark debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 80,548 million euros 118,469 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 33.3%.
According to the last data point published, Denmark per capita debt in 2018 was 17,546 euros20,722 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 17,957 euros 20,286 dollars, afterwards dropping by 411 euros 436dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 14,615 euros21,495 dollars .
The position of Denmark, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 43 in the list of debt to GDP and 158 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
