In 2020 Denmark public debt was 131,886 million euros150,640 million dollars, has increased 27,66133,961 million since 2019.
This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 42.2% of Denmark GDP, a 8.9 percentage point rise from 2019, when it was 33.3% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Denmark debt. It has risen since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 103,473 million euros 137,174 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 42.6%.
According to the last data point published, Denmark per capita debt in 2020 was 22,650 euros25,871 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 17,899 euros 20,038 dollars, afterwards rising by 4,751 euros5,833 dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 18,608 euros24,669 dollars .
The position of Denmark, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2020 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 66 in the list of debt to GDP and 163 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
