In 2018 Chile public debt was 64,507 million euros 76,183 million dollars, has increased 6,62710,796 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 25.56% of Chile GDP, a 2.02 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 23.54% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Chile debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 6,006 million euros 8,833 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 4.92%.
According to the last data point published, Chile per capita debt in 2018 was 3,444 euros4,068 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 3,142 euros 3,550 dollars, afterwards rising by 302 euros518 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 360 euros529 dollars .
The position of Chile, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 24 in the list of debt to GDP and 112 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
