In 2016 Chad public debt was 4,779 million euros 5,290 million dollars, has increased 462500 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 52.41% of Chad GDP, a 8.64 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 43.77% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Chad debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 1,551 million euros 1,948 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 26.17%.
According to the last data point published, Chad per capita debt in 2016 was 331 euros366 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 308 euros 342 dollars, afterwards rising by 23 euros24 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 149 euros187 dollars .
The position of Chad, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 100 in the list of debt to GDP and 26 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
