This amount means that the debt in 2021 reached 108.2% of Belgium GDP, a 4.6 percentage point fall from 2020, when it was 112.8% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Belgium debt. It has risen since 2011 in global debt terms, when it was 389,107 million euros 541,525 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 103.5%.
According to the last data point published, Belgium per capita debt in 2021 was 47,487 euros56,163 dollars per inhabitant.
