In 2019 Bangladesh public debt was 97,676 million euros109,344 million dollars, has increased 17,43914,631 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 36.14% of Bangladesh GDP, a 1.58 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 34.56% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Bangladesh debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 29,160 million euros 40,523 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 39.54%.
According to the last data point published, Bangladesh per capita debt in 2019 was 599 euros671 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 497 euros 587 dollars, afterwards rising by 102 euros84 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 200 euros278 dollars .
The position of Bangladesh, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 33 in the list of debt to GDP and 36 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
