In 2018 Bahrain public debt was 30,269 million euros 35,747 million dollars, has increased 2,5834,470 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 94.75% of Bahrain GDP, a 6.51 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 88.24% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Bahrain debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 2,196 million euros 3,229 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 12.56%.
According to the last data point published, Bahrain per capita debt in 2018 was 19,286 euros22,777 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 18,531 euros 20,934 dollars, afterwards rising by 755 euros1,843 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,983 euros2,917 dollars .
The position of Bahrain, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 168 in the list of debt to GDP and 161 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
