In 2016 Bahrain public debt was 23,692 million euros 26,224 million dollars, has increased 5,1745,678 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 81.35% of Bahrain GDP, a 15.33 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 66.02% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Bahrain debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 2,984 million euros 3,747 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 20.25%.
According to the last data point published, Bahrain per capita debt in 2016 was 16,637 euros18,416 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 13,517 euros 14,997 dollars, afterwards rising by 3,120 euros3,419 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,109 euros3,903 dollars .
The position of Bahrain, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 155 in the list of debt to GDP and 159 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
