In 2019 Bahrain public debt was 35,086 million euros39,279 million dollars, has increased 4,8163,531 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 102.1% of Bahrain GDP, a 7.12 percentage point rise from 2018, when it was 94.98% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Bahrain debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 3,516 million euros 4,904 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 21.36%.
According to the last data point published, Bahrain per capita debt in 2019 was 23,643 euros26,468 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 20,139 euros 23,785 dollars, afterwards rising by 3,504 euros2,683 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,985 euros4,163 dollars .
The position of Bahrain, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 165 in the list of debt to GDP and 166 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
