Uganda is at the 46º position of the Global Right to Information Rating

The transparency law of Uganda has been in force since 2005 and with it has earned 97 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Uganda is now ranked 46 in the transparency ranking formed by 136 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
