India at No. 8 in the RTI Rating

The transparency law of India has been in force since 2005 and with it has earned 127 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score India is in one of the top positions of the ranking, as it is a country with a good legislative framework in relation to transparency and access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
