In 2012, CO2 emissions in Chad have grown 0.528 megatons, 78.92% compared to 2011.
CO2 emissions in 2012 were 1.197 megatons, making Chad is the 33th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Chad, have increased in 2012, in which they have been 0.09 tons per inhabitant.
Chad is one of the countries with the lowest CO2 emissions per inhabitant.
Regarding evolution f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Chad, has emitted 0.05 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, more than in 2011.
