Senegal - Religions

Islam, with 75% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 98.2%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Senegal population, has increase to 98.2%. As to Islam it has also increased, the previous survey recorded 73% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 75% follow it.

The Senegal’s second-largest religion is Animist Religions, accounts for about 18% of the population.
