Islam grow in Nigeria while believers dropped

Islam is the Nigeria's top religion, around 44.04% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.76%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Nigeria population, has dropped to 99.76%. As to Islam it has increased, the previous survey recorded 41.07% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 44.04% follow it.

Christianity is the second most practiced religion in Nigeria, accounts for about 44% of the population.
