Islam grow in Malaysia while believers dropped

Islam is the Malaysia's top religion, around 42.91% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.78%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Malaysia population, has dropped to 99.78%. As to Islam it has increased, the previous survey recorded 38.94% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 42.91% follow it.

Syncretic Religions is the second most practiced religion in Malaysia, accounts for about 32.58% of the population.
