Madagascar - Religions

Animist Religions, with 49.11% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.94%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Madagascar population, has dropped to 99.94%. As to Animist Religions it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 50.31% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 49.11% follow it.

The Madagascar’s second-largest religion is Christianity, accounts for about 48.77% of the population.
