Laos - Religions

Buddhism, with 55.28% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 95.62%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Laos population, has dropped to 95.62%. As to Buddhism it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 57% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 55.28% follow it.

The Laos’s second-largest religion is Animist Religions, accounts for about 38.02% of the population.
