Laos - Religions

Buddhism is the Laos's top religion, around 60% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 97.11%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Laos population, has dropped to 97.11%. As to Buddhism it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 60.65% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 60% follow it.

Animist Religions is the second most practiced religion in Laos, accounts for about 32.26% of the population.
