The latest survey data indicate believers share of India population, has dropped to 99.54%. As to Hindu it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 79% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 78.38% follow it.
The India’s second-largest religion is Islam, accounts for about 11.18% of the population.
