Burundi - Religions

Christianity, with 85.33% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.95%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Burundi population, has dropped to 99.95%. As to Christianity it has increased, the previous survey recorded 81.68% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 85.33% follow it.

The Burundi’s second-largest religion is Animist Religions, accounts for about 10.81% of the population.
