Animist Religions is the Benin's top religion, around 67.75% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.98%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Benin population, has dropped to 99.98%. As to Animist Religions it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 72.5% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 67.75% follow it.

Christianity is the second most practiced religion in Benin, accounts for about 18.07% of the population.
