Of the 1,948 recorded suicide cases in 2008, 1,401 were men suicides and 547 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.28 per 100,000 men and for women 4 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Uzbekistan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death.
