Sudan - Intentional self-harm

By 2015, suicides in Sudan increased by 64 people to at 4,109 suicides In 2015, on average 11 Sudanese committed suicide every day.

In Sudan there were 10.27 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.47 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 4,109 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 2,960 were men suicides and 1,149 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.89 per 100,000 men and for women 5.7 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Sudan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 1,702 homicides in Sudan, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.4 suicides.
