In Saudi Arabia there were 3.4 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.56 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 1,057 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 796 were men suicides and 262 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 4.41 per 100,000 men and for women 1.91 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Saudi Arabia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 472 homicides in Saudi Arabia, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.2 suicides.
