Libya - Intentional self-harm

In 2009 occurred 355 suicides in Libya. This year, 8 more people committed suicide than in 2008.

Libya had 5.95 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 355 recorded suicide cases in 2009, 263 were men suicides and 92 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.13 per 100,000 men and for women 2.94 per 100,000 female.
