In Iceland there were 9.4 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.68 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Iceland has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 22 recorded suicide cases in 1982, 15 were men suicides and 7 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 12.7 per 100,000 men and for women 6 per 100,000 female.
