In 2008 occurred 216 suicides in Georgia, the same people committed suicide than in 2007.

Georgia had 4.92 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.96 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 216 recorded suicide cases in 2008, 169 were men suicides and 47 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.11 per 100,000 men and for women 2.04 per 100,000 female.
