August of 2011 CPI went up in Tanzania

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Tanzania in August of 2011 was 14.2%, 12 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.4%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 12.2%

We must highlight the increase of 2.4% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 18.6%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Transport of -0.2%, and an interannual variation of 8.8%.
