Tanzanians CPI increased up to 10.9% year-on-year in June of 2011

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Tanzania in June of 2011 was 10.9%, 11 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.8%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 8.9%

We must highlight the increase of 1.2% in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, until its interannual rate reached 18.8%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Restaurants and hotels of 0%, and an interannual variation of 6.7%.
