Swiss CPI increased up to 1.5% year-on-year in August of 2006

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Switzerland in August of 2006 was 1.5%, 1 tenth higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2006 is 0.5%

We must highlight the increase of 0.6% in the prices of Transport, until its interannual rate reached 4.2%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Miscellaneous goods and services of -0.2%, and an interannual variation of 0.7%.
