Portuguese CPI increased up to 4.2% year-on-year in October of 2011

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Portugal in October of 2011 was 4.2%, 6 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.1%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 3.7%

We must highlight the increase of 6% in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, until its interannual rate reached 10.7%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Recreation and culture of -0.4%, and an interannual variation of -0.2%.
