Portuguese CPI goes down to 2.4%

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Portugal in December of 2003 was 2.4%, 1 tenth less than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.1%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2003 is 2.4%

We must highlight the increase of 0.7% in the prices of Clothing and footwear, until its interannual rate reached 1.3%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco of -0.3%, and an interannual variation of 3.2%.
