Portuguese CPI increased up to 3% year-on-year in September of 2003

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Portugal in September of 2003 was 3%, 2 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2003 is 1.5%

We must highlight the increase of 0.8% in the prices of Recreation and culture, until its interannual rate reached 1.8%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels of -0.1%, and an interannual variation of 3.7%.
