In September, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom fell by 7.76% with respect to September of 1999. In total, 393,709 cars were registered and 2,476,552 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.51% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of September is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 40,215, 1.01% more than in September of 1999.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 353,494, which represents a figure of 8.66% less than in September of 1999.
