Trinidad and Tobago rises the national minimum wage

In 2010, the national minimum wage in Trinidad and Tobago remained fixed at €285 per month, that is 3,420 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Trinidad and Tobago dollars, which is the official currency in Trinidad and Tobago, we can see that, this year, it was 2,600 Trinidad and Tobago dollars and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 728 Trinidad and Tobago dollars per month from the previous year, 38.89%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2009 which was 1.3%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
