Since June 2007, the national minimum wage in Portugal remained fixed at €470.2 per month, that is 5,642 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
Accordingly the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2007 which was 2.5%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
