Moldova rises the national minimum wage

In 2009, the national minimum wage in Moldova remained fixed at €40.7 per month, that is 488 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

This increase is greater than the CPI of 2008 which was 7.2%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
