Since June 2008, the national minimum wage in Moldova remained fixed at €25.1 per month, that is 301 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Moldovan leu, which is the official currency in Moldova, we can see that, this year, it was 400 Moldovan leu and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2008 which was 13.3%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Moldova is in 83 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 90 of the list.
