The minimum wage goes up in Hungary

In 2002, the national minimum wage in Hungary remained fixed at €203.9 per month, that is 2,447 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Hungarian forints, which is the official currency in Hungary, we can see that, this year, it was 50,000 Hungarian forints and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 10,000 Hungarian forints per month from the previous year, 25%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2001 which was 6.8%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Hungary is in 26 nd place of the 70 of the list.
