NMW Greece 2002

The minimum wage goes up in Greece

Since June 2002, the national minimum wage in Greece remained fixed at €582 per month, that is 6,984 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

Accordingly the national minimum wage has been raised 10.3 Euros per month from the previous year, 1.8%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2002 which was 3%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Greece is in 15 nd place of the 70 of the list.
