Since July 2005, the national minimum wage in Argentina remained fixed at €180.5 per month, that is 2,166 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Argentinian pesos, which is the official currency in Argentina, we can see that, this year, it was 630 Argentinian pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 60 Argentinian pesos per month from the previous year, 10.53%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2005 which was 6.1%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
