The minimum wage goes up in Argentina

Since September 2004, the national minimum wage in Argentina remained fixed at €124.2 per month, that is 1,490 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Argentinian pesos, which is the official currency in Argentina, we can see that, this year, it was 450 Argentinian pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 100 Argentinian pesos per month from the previous year, 28.57%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2004 which was 3.7%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Argentina is in 35 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 74 of the list.
