Uruguay national debt goes up

In 2017 Uruguay public debt was 34,441 million euros 42,120 million dollars, has increased 5,1243,212 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 69.99% of Uruguay GDP, a 4.28 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 65.71% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Uruguay debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 11,637 million euros 18,144 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 59.79%.

According to the last data point published, Uruguay per capita debt in 2018 was 10,240 euros12,211 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 10,022 euros 11,322 dollars, afterwards rising by 218 euros889 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,668 euros5,395 dollars .
